Baby Girl is 6 months old! It seems like so much has happened in only a month. She's sitting all by herself, she's rolling around, eating solids and this week, the biggest news of all, she's been sleeping a whole 10 hours without waking up at night. Yup, you heard it, she's sleeping from 7:30 pm to 5:30 am. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I'm optimistic it will last. Here are more picture I took on Easter, her actual 1/2 birthday. Enjoy!

White House Easter Egg Roll 2011

We got lucky this year and Ian was able to get us tickets to the White House Egg Roll. Unfortunately, it was not a good picture day - not because of the weather, because it turned out to be a beautiful sunny, warm day but because baby Lily was way too tired and obsessed with looking at the green grass. Needless to say, she either has a grumpy face or is looking down at the grass in every single photo. It was pretty funny looking at all the photos after we got home.  Anyway, we still had a great time and it was fun to be able to experience such a wonderful event.

Foodie in the making

Last week, Miss Lily had her first taste of real food - carrots. I can't say she was a huge fan but she tolerated the experience. The second day, I managed to get a smile out of her. She's already learned how to grab the spoon and feed herself! So far, she's had carrots, bananas and avocado - avocado is definitely her favorite...Bon appetit my little foodie!

Today, Ian and our friend Daniel ran the Pike's Peek 10K in Rockville, MD. Ian didn't train at all and hasn't run in a 10K since high school. He made it in just under an hour! Good job babe!

Our first visitors of the year

Our good friends Kate and Matt from San Francisco came to visit us. We spent one day touring some of the Virginia wineries and one day touring the White House garden, which is only open once a year to the public and ended the day walking around enjoying the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was so nice seeing them and hang out. Thanks for a great time Kate and Matt!
