As soon as we got home, I took her temperature and it was 103! She was miserable and couldn't eat or sleep. Needless to say, the week was rough and involved a shot, antibiotics, a trip to the ER to make sure Lily wasn't dehydrated, a couple of long, sleep nights and ended with me getting sick...and no, we didn't buy a timeshare (it was so tempting, though!).
For my first Mother's Day, we decided to take a short trip to Williamsburg, VA. Actually, the truth is we "won" a free stay at one of the resorts in Williamsburg. In other words, it was a timeshare thing. But it worked out perfectly and was nice little get away. Since we had already visited Williamsburg a couple of years ago with Ian's parents, we decided to check out Jamestown. Ian was trying to get some pictures of Lilian and I for Mother's Day but the poor little baby was feeling awful. We knew Lily was not feeling well but we had no idea she was on the verge of getting her first ear infection.
